BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby closed and abandoned Moore Street from Henderson Alley located northwest from Hampton Street, northeast of East 3rd Street, more particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference: Moore Street, a 16 foot wide unopened right-of-way beginning on the northwest line of Hampton Street 150 feet northeast of the intersection of the northwest line of Hampton Street with the northeast line of East 3rd Street, and extending northwest between parallel lines to the former Southern Railroad right-of-way, the southwest line of said street being some 370 feet, and the northeast line being some 353 feet. Said street separates lots 8-16, block 2, from lots 17-22, block 2, Tades Addition, not recorded. Henderson Alley, a 55 foot wide unopened right-of-way beginning on the northwest line of Hampton Street 286 feet northeast of the intersection of the northwest line of Hampton Street with the northeast line of East 3rd Street, and extending northwest between parallel lines to the former Southern Railroad right-of-way, the southwest line of said alley being some 230 feet, and the northeast line being some 175 feet. Said alley separates lots 17-22, block 2, from lots 23 and 24, block 2, Tades Addition, not recorded. Tax Map No. 146A-J-9 and 10. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this closure and abandonment is made subject to the following conditions: 1. All but the area necessary for the new right-of-way as determined by the City Engineer; and09 2. Subject to approval of City Engineer and all public utilities. 3. The areas reserved for utility easements must be kept free and clear of all structures. 4. All existing easements are retained. SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
